The do's and dont's when visiting a sauna

The do's and dont's when visiting a sauna

Ok, so I'm not overly experienced when visiting a sauna, but any advice on some of the do's and don'ts that I should be aware off when visiting a sauna.

These two posts don't make sense and I wonder at the purpose of them. In this one you sound like a hesitant beginner or close to it and in the other one you provide a full account of a visit to a sauna complete with all the punting abbreviations for sex like you've been at it for years. That doesn't add up.

You say the lady "dissed" you the third time you booked her, after a month gap. But you were told it was her day off. There was obviously no "dissing" about it.

And thirdly, in your alleged visit to an unnamed Edinburgh sauna you say there were girls "all around the room" or words to that effect. How big was this "room" and how many girls were in it? And what was the sauna? From my own experience and from what I know you'd be lucky if there are more than four girls available these days at an Edinburgh sauna at any one time and sometimes only a couple. You used to have half a dozen or so but quality and quantity have both dropped. They sit in a fairly confined space where you can join them before choosing. No Edinburgh sauna I've seen or heard of has numerous girls "all around the room".

Edinburgh? Maybe you've got the location wrong and were actually in Bangkok.

I've only been to 2 saunas. First time with a very young English worker in Folkstone on a drunken night out with my brother about 15 years ago. The 2nd time was at a sauna in Edinburgh 3 years ago with a beautiful blonde worker from Finland. The 3rd time was the same sauna in Edinburgh in August this year with an Italian worker and then a 2nd time with the same worker in September. The 3rd time with another Italian worker this month. That's it dude.

Just to point out I've been married 30 years and experimented with numerous positions over the years. I also watch porn too.

I stand corrected on the word dissed. That was a typo. I had meant that it felt like the worker 'ditched' my appointment/ bailed on me. Who knows!. On the other hand maybe it was a simple cock up (pardon the pun) and my booking wasn't passed on to her? Who knows. But what I am saying is true. There was about 8/9 workers sitting on the seating around the small lounge at a popular sauna in Edinburgh I'm being genuine.

I'm not naming the sauna, but am sure you know the one I'm talking about. You can take it or leave what I am saying.

Also the reason I was asking about the dos and don'ts at a sauna is because it played on my mind why the worker didn't make the appointment after 2 great sessions with her. I started questioning. If I had broke some boundary. Did I appear to clingy by asking for a third appointment. Did she not like me watching her as she showered. Who knows. But whatever the case, I'm the kind of person who is put off things very easily . I had no intention of going to this sauna again as to much of a busy area.only that my 1st session with the worker back in August was ecstatic.

Im easily put off things, so I made the decision not to go back to that particular sauna and instead try out a sauna in a much quieter area.

Note: the workers in the lounge that day were a mixture of ages.

I don't know which one you're talking about because this place with girls aplenty doesn't match any I've been to or heard of. There's absolutely no reason for you not to identify the sauna, that's what this site is for, sharing useful info when you can. I've already said I think the best is Blair Street, where there are usually four or so girls available.

To round this off the OP sent me a message and he's legit. So apologies to him for anything untoward I said but his original post needed clarifying. It was the Blair Street sauna he was referring to, which I think is probably the best in Edinburgh. In August which is the height of the tourist season and I think is around Festival time I could see more girls working than normal, and 8 or 9 is a very good turnout, wish saunas were like that all the time.

With regard to concern about not getting that third booking, I don't think that was anything to worry about. I'm all but certain there would be no reason, you don't sound like a pushy or unpleasant client. It would just have been her day off.

Blair Street is in a prominent area but it's still down a side street and it only takes 2 seconds to go from the pavement to inside so I wouldn't let it's location put you off going there. There's the Newtown and other around the fringes but they're liable to be quieter with less choice. If you had a good time in Blair Street I'd stick with it. I wouldn't be intimidated by anything in a sauna, just go in, have a coffee or soft drink and relax. You don't have to chat to the girls, but they almost always try to be friendly and will try to open a conversation. It really is a pretty easy going atmosphere inside. There's no rush to choose one, take your time, enjoy the moment, enjoy the anticipation and then indicate to a lady that you'd like to accompany her to a room when you're ready. One advantage of saunas over booking an escort over the phone is that in the saunas not much if anything can go wrong. A phone booking may turn out to be brilliant or it may turn out bullshit, you never really know. But the saunas are a "safe" bet. The girls may sometimes just be average but they're ok. And if anyone's paranoid about getting mugged or threatened or any of that nonsense that never actually happens, it certainly ain't gonna happen in an Edinburgh sauna. As far as that goes, they are 100 per cent risk free.

I had a good time in Blair Street myself but a couple of other visits elsewhere have been a bit disappointing. I think the Edinburgh saunas - 10 years or so ago you could go to Scorpio near the Hibs ground which was my favourite where you really would find a dozen lookers on any day of the week - have suffered a downturn like most everything else in the industry. Just my opinion. There's been chopping and changing due to licensing laws and changes in ownership and some of the best have now closed.

However they're still worth another visit Maximus and I wish you good luck next time and hope you have a good time. I haven't been for a couple of months myself and must go back again soon.
