The New Thai House is a perfectly respectable and safe establishment. Inside it looks and feels a bit like an oriental restaurant.

I have visited the New Thai House on a number of occasions over the last couple of years. I only ever go for a back massage because I've got a sore back and some of the girls there, notably Jina, know how to give a good, firm back massage. Unfortunately Cindy doesn't. In contrast to the other girls, Cindy's massage is very fast, repetitive and unimaginative, when it should have been slow, a lot firmer and far more varied.

Worse, her attitude leaves a lot to be desired. I can fully accept that most clients prefer additional personal services, but Cindy clearly thought my request marked me out as some sort of weirdo. During the conversation, which was minimal, she asked why I didn't go elsewhere if I just want a back rub. (See above for the answer.) When I moaned to communicate my approval of the way she massaged my shoulders - one of the few moments of the massage I found pleasurable - she actually told me to keep quiet. This was especially insulting considering that the only other sound she'd have been able to hear was the '80s power-ballards soundtrack that was playing in the room! She tried to end the session at 6pm, when I had 10 minutes still to go. I insisted on getting my full money's worth. During this time I also asked here to walk on my back just as she'd done earlier because it was the only part of the massage that was firm enough for me. She did this, but only after letting out an unmistakable 'do I have to?' type groan. Everything's an effort for her.

There are some good masseuses at the New Thai House. Needless to say, Cindy isn't one of them.
