An absolute disaster, and a bizarre situation. Confirmed with the agency and turned up on time. Her flatmate let me in, only to find that Cookie had barricaded herself in the bathroom, refused to come out, and advised her flatmate in Polish that she was not in a position to see anyone. If there had been a problem, she could have advised the agency (who I have always found to be very reliable) in advance, they could have told me and I would have accepted the circumstances and found an alternative. As it was, I had no time to make alternative arrangements and it was a complete and unnecessary waste of time.
